Core Courses
The M.A. in Public Policy employs a transdisciplinary approach to thoroughly examine contemporary political, economic, and social issues. The curriculum is meticulously designed
to provide intensive training in policy theory, engaging with key literature and debates.
Students will develop strong quantitative and qualitative
analytical skills while gaining practical exposure to
policymaking and management processes. The program offers
both core and elective courses, with each course accounting
for five credits.
A distinctive feature is the flexibility
offered in the third quarter, where students can choose between
the Data Analytics or Policy Design pathway. Each path includes
three core courses spread over the third and fourth quarters,
providing specialized expertise to shape their policy careers.
Students must also indicate their preference for the
dissertation track at the end of the third quarter. Based on their research interest, students will
be assigned a faculty mentor to help them develop their dissertation thesis. The dissertation
workshop must be completed before students commence their dissertation writing.
Dissertation: The dissertation is worth eight credits and runs in the last quarter. During the fourth quarter students focus primarily on developing the dissertation thesis under the guidance of their faculty mentor
